Cannulas
Hy-Flo-Cannula
The Hy-Flo cannulas have been specifically developed for single-needle dialysis and offer an innovative solution for a smooth, vascular-friendly, and efficient treatment. Thanks to ultra-thin-walled cannula tubes and short, flow-optimized passages in the cannula holder, Hy-Flo cannulas allow for particularly high, effective blood flows. As with all Bionic cannulas, the sharpness and perfection of the bevel ensure a gentle and precise puncture. BackRequest a quote nowProduct Highlights at a Glance

Precision, Efficiency, and Comfort.
The vascular-friendly puncture.
The Hy-Flo-Cannula provides an exceptionally gentle puncture that minimizes vascular damage and maximizes patient comfort. The optimized bevel ensures a precise puncture, which not only causes less pain but also reduces scarring. The ultra-thin-walled cannula tube further contributes to enabling high blood flows without unnecessarily stressing the vessel.
The ultra-thin-walled cannula tube also helps to enable high blood flows without placing unnecessary strain on the vessel.
Flow-Optimized Design.
For maximum efficiency.
By using short, flow-optimized passages in the cannula holder, blood flow is optimized. Combined with the ultra-thin wall structure, the Hy-Flo Cannula achieves particularly high, effective blood flows – ideal for an efficient and reliable dialysis treatment, extracting the maximum benefit from single-needle dialysis.
Secure Fixation.
Innovative opening.
The ergonomic rotating wing of the Hy-Flo Cannula ensures secure fixation and easy handling, while the slot-shaped opening in the bevel area prevents attachment to the vessel wall. The low swing volume of less than 0.1 ml, along with the simple puncture technique, makes the Hy-Flo Cannula particularly advantageous.
Varied Designs for individual Requirements
Different treatment forms and vascular accesses require the right choice of needles. Bionic offers an impressive selection of over 80 different dialysis needles, including special versions for rare cases. Whether in practice, for night or home dialysis, or in the field of transfusion – the right accessories complete the range.Cannula dimension (gauge) | Ø x length | Wing colour | Tube length |

Puncture Set (Customised Sets)
The Bionic connection and termination sets offer customised solutions that are perfectly tailored to your individual requirements. Each set contains all the essential components for a safe and smooth connection to the extracorporeal circuit. In day-to-day dialysis, these sets help to standardise processes, save valuable time for care staff and reduce packaging waste. The use of standardised processes not only increases efficiency, but also improves safety for patients and staff.
For more than three decades, Bionic has been developing high-quality products for vascular access. Our dialysis needles stand out with exceptionally low flow resistance. For example, cannulas with an outer diameter of 1.6 mm (16G) are suitable for the standard blood flow of 300 ml/min, while cannulas with a diameter of 1.8 mm (15G) can be used for higher blood flows of up to 350 ml/min.
