The system is based on an innovative in-line filter solution that integrates directly into the blood bag process. This creates a closed, sterile filtration chain that minimises the risk of contamination and meets the highest safety standards. Another decisive advantage is the check valve, which precisely regulates the blood flow during filtration. This valve prevents backflow and ensures that the blood is channelled through the filter continuously and without interruption.

In addition to extremely efficient leucocyte reduction, the erythrocyte filter system impresses with its short filtration time of just 35 minutes on average. This makes handling considerably easier and enables fast processing without compromising the safety and quality of the end product. The system also ensures minimal haemolysis of just 0.27%, which is well below the permitted limits. The recovery of red blood cells is also exceptionally high, with a rate of over 85%, so that as many red blood cells as possible are preserved for transfusion.
